United Nations (UN) Headquarters will observe the International Day of United Nations (UN) Peacekeepers today in appropriate manner, according to a message received yesterday.
On the eve of this day, Palestinian nations suffer in their own and for a long time. Their crisis is one of the most persistent crises in the world. When you hear the name Palestine, you see the real picture of the conflict, which is taking away the lives of thousands of ordinary people. It is as if the Middle East cannot be free from crisis, and it will be able to do so, or it will be able to do so. If we want to talk about the Palestinian crisis, we must first know where the crisis started. In short, the crisis usually began with the proclamation of Lord Belfort, then the Foreign Secretary of England, in 1917, known in history as the historic Belfort Declaration. Where there is talk of settling Jews, and of establishing an independent state of Israel in Palestine. At that time, after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, England took over the power of Palestine and ruled until 1947. Then came the arrival of the Jews in Palestine and this arrival was most reflected when Hitler seized power in Germany. In 1933, the Jews moved to Palestine in groups. The conflict between the Jewish and Arab tribes in Palestine began, the remnants of which still exist. There have been four wars between Arab Israel, each time Israel has won and the level of conflict has increased. In fact, the settlement of Israel in Palestine was not easily accepted by the Palestinians. And how to take it because it is normal for a nation that does not have a specific territory to simply settle in another country and start a conflict, then no nation will simply accept. In Jerusalem, on the other hand, there is the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the holy land of three religions, which is very important from a religious point of view. The picture of conflict that we are seeing at the right time is nothing new, but it has existed for a long time. However, the picture of this conflict has changed. As we know, there were four wars between Arab and Israel. Every time the Arabs were defeated, the Arab states did not compromise on the Palestinians. Rather each time they responded with broken teeth. But now we see hundreds of Palestinians being killed every day, including children. There, however, the Arab states are not as vocal as before, but much more silent. I came to know through news that 196 people including 57 children have been killed. Turkey and Iran are playing a somewhat vocal role in bringing the Palestinian issue to the fore, where Saudi Arabia, known as the idol of the Muslim world, is silent, although the OIC has condemned the Israeli attack. The reason for Saudi Arabia`s role is to gain power, that is, to establish itself as a leader in the Middle East. And in order to be a leader, it is natural to be in favor of a world leader, which is why Saudi Arabia has such a role or position today. On the other hand, there is the Shia-Sunni conflict, which means that Saudi Arabia will never take the lead of Shiite-majority Iran normally. If we look at the world at the center of the Palestinian crisis, we see support for Israel. US Secretary of State Anthony Binken has said that the rocket attacks by Hamas from Gaza proved that Hamas is one of the militant groups. Israel has the right to retaliate against such militant groups. This statement of the Foreign Minister proves that the Israeli-Palestinian attack is legitimate and a campaign against terrorism. The reason for America`s support is to strengthen its influence in the Middle East, no matter what. But one of the principles of American foreign policy is human rights. Looking at it today, it seems that no word for human rights is inappropriate for this civilized world. Where ignorant children and ordinary people are constantly falling to their deaths, the countries full of human rights are silent today, which proves that the name human rights is nothing but absurd. Let`s forgetting all differences, Peacekeepers especially Muslim countries must stand by the Palestinians and help them to resolve crisis immediately.
