  Youth Parliament won the National Hero Award

Press Release: The Youth Parliament has won the Hero Award-2021 nationally for providing opportunities to the youth to build the future generation of the National Parliament. Hero Award-2021 has been given to 20 youths and organizations out of 2000 applications from all over the country working for social positive change in special categories like youth empowerment, youth leadership, and women empowerment.

The award ceremony started today at Hotel Rio Lounge in Gulashan in the presence of emerging youths from all over the country. Mr. Md. Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, Hon`ble Minister of State for Social Welfare, Government of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest at the event.  Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Prof. Dr. Md. Kamrul Islam Chowdhury was present as special guest.

On behalf of the Youth Parliament, the awards were received by the Honorable Chief Guest, Miss Nowshin Yasmin Deputy Head of D-8 Youth Conference, and Mr. Asif Ahmed Youth MP of Youth Parliament. The Youth Parliament, which represents Bangladesh internationally, has received the Princess Diana Award from the UK this year in recognition of their long-term work.

Miss Nowshin Yasmin, Deputy Chairperson of the D-8 Youth Conference, said, “We are representing Bangladesh by working with young people internationally to contribute to the SDGs. Our dream is that one day the Youth Parliament will be held in the Bangladesh National Parliament and this Hero Award will inspire our youth leaders. ”
