The rail communication of Khulna with the rest of the country has returned to normal on Wednesday noon after nearly 11 hours, after an oil tanker train derailed.
The train service resumed at 12 pm after 11 hours as the derailed wagons were removed from the rail track.
Earlier, eight oil tankers of a freight train derailed near Ansarbaria Railway Station around 1 am on Wednesday.
Chuadanga Railway Assistant Engineer Chad Ahmed said that two teams from Khulna and Parbatipur started the rescue work in the morning. Eight tankers were removed from the line by 11 am. Later, train traffic returned to normal after 12 pm.
