Four youths were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Shariatpur`s Jajira near Padma Bridge South Toll Plaza on Sunday night.

The accident took place around 9 pm on the road of Sheikh Russell cantonment in Naodoba area of the upazila.

The deceased were Nabil Farazi, 18, Sayem Madbar, 19, Arman Dhali, 18, and Khidir Madbar, 20.

According to police, two motorcycles collided head-on on the road next to the Padma Bridge South Toll Plaza. Four persons of two motorcycles fell on the road and sustained serious injuries.

Later, locals rescued the injured but they died on the way to Dhaka Medical College.

Being informed, police recovered two motorcycles from the spot.

Shariatpur Police Additional Superintendent Ahsan Habib confirmed it.
