  Afghanistan post 235 against Bangladesh in first ODI

Afghanistan veteran Mohammad Nabi and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi hit fifties to lead their side to 235 in the first ODI of the three-match series against Bangladesh at the Sharjah Cricket Ground on Wednesday.

After the hosts were reduced to 71-5 in 20 overs, Nabi and Shahid put on a 104-run partnership for the sixth wicket to rescue the Afghans.

Nabi scored 79-ball 84 with four boundaries and three maximums, while skipper Shahidi`s 52 helped to post a decent total.

A 28-ball 27 from tailender Nangeyalia Kharote gave the Afghans a late boost.
Bangladesh pacers Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman took four wickets apiece, while Shoriful Islam scalped one.
