While addressing the reception accorded on the occasion of Armed Forces Day at Senakunja in Dhaka Cantonment on Thursday (November 21), Interim Government`s Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus said, "We are proud that we have succeeded to bring Khaleda Zia here."

Dr Yunus said: "Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman`s wife Khaleda Zia has come here (Senakunja). She didn`t get the opportunity of coming here over a decade. We feel proud offering her this opportunity."

Addressing Khaleda Zia, he further said, "Thank you for taking part in this reception with all despite being sick for a long time. We pray for your early recovery."

Both BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus were seated on two separate sofas side by side. They were seen talking to each other.

Earlier, Khaleda Zia reached Senakunja at about 4:00pm after leaving her Gulshan residence `Firoza` at 3:30pm.

On November 13, 2010, Khaleda Zia was forcibly evicted from her house at Shaheed Moinul Road in Dhaka Cantonment where her family members had lived for long 40 years. On Thursday, she went to Senakunja in Dhaka Cantonment after more than a decade.
