Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two drug peddlers along with 220 grams of heroin from Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district on Thursday morning.

They were arrested at around 8:00 a.m. from Chaighati village in the upazila.

The arrested individuals are Shahin Alam, 33, and Nazrul Islam, 23. Both are from Manikganj district.

RAB-5 shared the information through a press release on Thursday afternoon.

It said that a team of the elite force conducted a raid at Chaighati village and arrested the duo. At that time, a motorcycle, 220 grams of heroin, and Tk 5,000 were recovered from their possessions.

A case was filed with Godagari Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act in this regard, it added.
