Drivers of battery-operated rickshaws are staging demonstration again at Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Mirpur, Press Club, Jatrabari, Gabtoli, Gulistan, High Court areas, suspending the vehicular movement on these roads.

Around 11:30AM on Sunday, they started gathering at different points in the capital under the banner of Rickshaw-Van-Easy Bike Sramik Union, which forced the vehicles to standstill.

The drivers said they are from Kamrangirchar, Section, Hazaribagh areas.

Law enforcement agencies are trying to negotiate with the drivers to remove them from the streets.
