The government has deployed 10 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh, BGB, in Dhaka and Chattogram to maintain the law and order.

Four platoons were deployed in Dhaka`s Shahbagh, Matshya Bhaban and Hotel Intercontinental areas, while six platoons in Chattogram metropolitan area to avert any untoward incidents.

The BGB has confirmed the deployments in two separate messages.
