A schoolgirl was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in the Kalitola area in Thakurgaon`s Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

Deceased Farhana Sarker, a resident of Kalitola village in the upazila, was a student of Class IX at Thakurgaon Sugar Mills High School.

Farhana died on the spot as a truck collided with an auto rickshaw on Thakurgaon-Pirganj Road this noon, said oficer-in-charge of Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station Md Shahidur Rahman.

The injured people are now undergoing treatment at Thakurgaon General Hospital.
