A fire that broke out at a slum at Banani in the capital early Saturday, was doused at about 6:36AM after frantic efforts of Fire Service.

No causalities were reported yet.

The blaze originated at Banani no 22 slum around 5:30AM. Getting information, seven fire fighting units went to the scene one after another and managed to bring the fire under control after one hour of frantic efforts.

But the reason behind the blaze could not be known immediately.
