A man has been killed and at least 15 have been injured in multi vehicles` collision due to dense fog in Munshiganj`s Sreenagar and Sirajdikhan of the Dhaka-Mawa expressway.

The accidents occurred from early Sunday to 9AM, Fire Service confirmed.

Following the accidents, traffic congestion was created on the highway.

The deceased was identified as a private car driver Farhad, 40.

The injured 15 were sent to different hospitals in Sreenagar and Sirajdikhan.

Abul Kalam Azad, in-charge of Sreenagar Fire Service, said, "We rescued 10-15 from different spots. The vehicles movement on the highway became normal after 10AM. The injured were sent to local hospitals."

Police said the movement of vehicles on the expressway has been suspended for around two hours following the crashes involving seven buses, truck and a private car.
