The bitter cold wind coming from the Himalayas has intensified the cold. People are lighting fires to escape the cold. The minimum temperature in the district was recorded at 6 am on Wednesday at 12.5 degrees Celsius. The humidity in the district was 99 percent.
Meanwhile, the intense cold is being felt as the sun does not shine from dawn until 8 am. Low-income people have gone out in search of work, ignoring the dense fog and cold.
