Online Report : The daytime temperature across the country may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

There is a little chance of seeing the sun today due to fog in the capital and surrounding areas.

A cold wave may hit different places of the country, including the northern part, after a few days` of break.

According to met office bulletin, the cold may increase across the country and cold wave may continue for next one week.

Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman said, "Many places in the country, inlcuding Dhaka, are covered with dernse fog. This condition will remain the whole day. For this, there will be a feeling of cold even during the day."

Moderate to dense fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at
places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to dense fog.

The cold may continue till January 14, said Meteorologist Omar Farruq.
