Online Report : The interim government is going to increase supplementary duty on mobile phone services to 23 per cent from 20 per cent.

A notification in this regard may be issued soon.

According to National Board of Revenue (NBR) sources, the government`s top level has approved the issue of increasing the supplementary duty by another three per cent in addition to the existing supplementary duty on mobile phone services.

Two ministries also gave their positive opinion about it.
