Online Report : Ekushey February inspired the nation to take to the streets against fascism, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday.

"If fascism or dictatorship tries to take hold again, the spirit of 21st February will inspire our fearless youth and the people of this nation to take to the streets and resist."

The senior party leader made these comment to reporters on Friday after paying tribute to the martyrs at Central Shaheed Minar on International Mother Language Day.

Rizvi said, "The spirit of 21st February is eternal -- it will never fade."

He emphasised that the legacy of February 21st, 1952, has remained a revolutionary ideal for generations. "It is an indestructible force that continues to inspire us."
