  Fire at Gazipur factory under control

A fire that broke out at a factory named at Bhurulia union in Gazipur on Saturday evening, has been brought under control after an hour of efforts.

The incident occurred around 5:50 PM, at L-Tech Aluminum in the area and six fire service units managed to bring the blaze under control around 6.50 PM.

Mohammad Mamun, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, reported that three units from Joydebpur Fire Station and three units from Bhogra Modern Fire Station responded to the emergency. The combined efforts of the teams brought the fire under control by around 6:50 PM.


He noted that the factory contained a significant amount of flammable materials due to its aluminum production.

Mamun added that there was a risk of the fire spreading to nearby residential areas, but the prompt response of the fire service prevented it from escalating.

So far, no casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident, he added.
