The sale of advance train tickets will begin on March 14 and will continue till March 20 on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

All tickets will be sold online, a Railway Ministry press release said on Sunday, March 9.

The passengers can buy advance tickets for March 24 on March 14, for March 25 on March 15, for March 26 on March 16, for March 27 on March 17, for March 28 on March 18, for March 29 on March 19, and for March 30 on March 20, according to the release.

The return tickets for March 31, and April 1 and 2 will be sold subject to Moon sighting.

For the hassle-free journey of home-bound and return passengers, the Bangladesh Railways will operate eight to 10 pairs of special trains during Eid, Md Afzal Hossain, director general of Bangladesh Railways, said this in an inter-ministerial meeting at Biddut Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday, March 9.
