Two shipments of 38,880 tonnes of rice imported from India and Vietnam have reached Chittagong Port.

MV Tung An Ship carrying 17,800 tonnes of Atap rice from Vietnam and MV Rek Elite transporting parboiled rice from India anchored at the port, the Ministry of Food said in a statement on Wednesday, March 12.

Necessary measures have been taken to begi unloading activities today after the completion of sample test of rice, the statement said.
