A woman died of electrocution at Sohochrail village in Boalmari upazila in Faridpur district on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Mitu Begum, 32, wife of expatriate Mizanur Rahman Mizan, a resident of the village in the upazila.

According to locals, Mitu came in contact with a live electric wire while she was connecting a plug with an IPS, leaving her dead on the spot.
