The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has increased the prices of gold, with raising 22 carat gold by Tk 3,662 to Tk 1,74,948 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was raised by Tk 3,511 to Tk 1,67,005 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 2,998 to Tk 1,43,141, and gold of traditional method by Tk 2,555 to Tk 1,18,460 respectively.
The prices have been hiked following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Tuesday, May 6.
The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday, May 7.
Earlier on May 6, the price of 22-carat gold rose by Tk 2,310 to Tk 1,71,286 per bhori, while 21-carat gold increased by Tk 2,193 to Tk 1,63,494 per bhori.
Similarly, 18-carat gold went up by Tk 1,890 to Tk 1,40,143 per bhori, and traditional gold surged by Tk 1,609 to Tk 1,15,905 per bhori.
