  Bullet-riddled body of senior ASP recovered from Ctg RAB camp

The bullet-riddled body of a Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police has been recovered from Chandgaon RAB-7 camp in Chittagong.

The body was recovered from the third floor of RAB-7`s Chandgaon camp around 12:30 pm on Wednesday (May 7).

The dead Palash Saha, 37, was a police cadre officer of the 37th BCS. He was working as a Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police in RAB-7.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter. He said, `The bullet-riddled body was found in his office room on the third floor of RAB-7 Chandgaon camp. Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. We believe that he committed suicide by shooting himself. A suicidal note written about his family was found at the scene. We are investigating the matter`

He also said, `Palash Saha’s body has been recovered and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. I will be able to tell you the details later.`

In the note, the police official Palash wrote, "Neither mother nor wife is responsible for my death. I am responsible. I could not keep anyone well. Let my wife take all the gold and live well. The mother`s responsibility is on my two brothers. They should keep my mother safe. Everything except the gold is for my mother. My sister should coordinate."
