  10-10-2025

Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Ameer Allama Mamunul Haque has asserted that the future of Bangladesh should be guided by the ideals of 2024 mass uprising.

Emphasizing the need to uphold the revolutionary spirit of July 2024, he warned against any attempts to bypass this movement in shaping the country’s political future, declaring that such actions would be met with strong public resistance.

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a mass gathering organized by Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Narayanganj district unit and city committees at DIT grounds on Friday night.

The rally called for the implementation of the July Charter, justice for Shapla Chattar massacre and other killings, recruitment of religious teachers in primary schools and establishment of Khelafat system.

Mamunul Haque further urged the interim government to enact the legal foundation of the July Charter, stating that fighters who sacrificed their lives for the July uprising deserve the spirit of that movement to be realized through law.

He criticized Dr. Muhammad Yunus for opposing the demand and called it shameful that he took to the streets against the legal recognition of the July Charter.

He insisted that the 13th national parliamentary election must be held on basis of the July Charter and no upper house should be formed without PR system.

The event was chaired by Narayanganj Khelafat Majlis city president Maulana Mamunur Rashid, with the presence of Secretary General Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmad, Joint Secretary General Maulana Ataullah Amin, Maulana Tofazzal Hossain Miazi and other leaders.
