  22-10-2025

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has directed the publication of a notice in newspapers to summon fugitive accused, including the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in separate cases. The directive relates to cases of enforced disappearances and killings in the TFI-JIC cells, as well as crimes against humanity committed during July–August under the Awami League government.

The tribunal has instructed that the notice be published in two national newspapers—one in Bangla and one in English. The next hearing in these cases has been scheduled for 20 November.

The order was issued on Wednesday (22 October) by the three-member bench of ICT-1, headed by Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder. The other members of the tribunal are Justice Md Shafiul Alam Mahmud and retired District and Sessions Judge Md Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.

On the same day, a hearing was held on the acceptance of charges in the enforced disappearance cases. The prosecution was represented by Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam.
