Dreyer strike sends San Diego FC to western conference final
  25-11-2025

Anders Dreyer fired home the decisive goal in the 72nd minute as top-seeded San Diego FC beat Minnesota United 1-0 on Monday, booking their place in the Major League Soccer Western Conference final.

The 27-year-old Danish winger unleashed a powerful left-footed shot into the top corner to secure the win for the expansion side.

San Diego will host second-seeded Vancouver Whitecaps in Saturday’s conference final, with the victor advancing to the MLS Cup final on December 6 to face either Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, or New York City FC.

San Diego, in their debut MLS season, finished first in the Western Conference during the regular campaign, powered by Dreyer’s standout tally of 22 goals and 16 assists.
