| Three earthquakes were reported in the Bay of Bengal, India, and Bhutan, according to the National Centre for Seismology of India.
A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Noney in western Manipur, India, at 5:42 am on Thursday (local time), with a depth of 26 km. A 4.0-magnitude tremor occurred in the Bay of Bengal at 2:59 am, with a depth of 10 km. Meanwhile, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake hit Bhutan at 11:32 pm on Wednesday.
Several social media users reported feeling an earthquake in Sylhet around 3:30 am on Thursday. However, Shah Md Sajib Hossain, Assistant Meteorologist at the Sylhet Meteorological Office, told Jago News that no earthquake was recorded there. Indian authorities confirmed that the tremor felt in the region corresponded to the 3.5-magnitude earthquake in Manipur.
