  IU teacher elected ICSD vice-president

HK Jibon, IU Correspondent: Dr Mostafizur Rahman alias Mithun Mostafiz of Folklore Studies department of Islamic University in Kushtia has been elected as the vice-president of International Consortium for Social Development this year. The head of ICSD International Election Commission announced the result of the election on Wednesday.

Professionals across the globe from multi-disciplines including educators, practitioners, schools of social work, non-governmental organizations, social science learners have casted their vote on digital platform untill October 10 in the ICSD election.

Norwegian Professor and ICSD election commission Chief Dr Roar Sundby said that they announced the election`s result ten days after voting in a row from around the globe.

International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD) is a professional platform of scholars on international social development affairs across the globe, headquartered in Australia.

When contacted, the newly elected Bangladesh Vice-President Dr Mithun Mostafiz said, ‘’I am fortunate to represent Bangladesh in the ICSD executive council. I will keep no stone unturned to explore my county’s honour in the global forum. I am in deed thankful to the members and voters of ICSD across the world.’’
