Higher secondary students of Dhaka College students have blocked the Science Lab intersection to press for the repeal of the Dhaka Central University ordinance, forcing commuters to reach respective destination on foots as vehicle movement suspended on Mirpur Road.

The demonstration began around 10:30AM on Monday demanding withdrawn of the ordinance.

Their presence in the street has disrupted traffic in the surrounding areas, said New Market Police Station chief AKM Mahfuzul Haque.

Police are trying to persuade the students to leave the road and ease congestion.
