  30-01-2026

International: In 2025, per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region increased by 5.3 percent and 7 percent respectively. Notably, per capita income of rural residents exceeded 20,000 yuan for the first time, reaching 20,793 yuan.

According to the regional government work report released on January 29, Xinjiang achieved solid progress in advancing comprehensive rural revitalization in 2025. Continued efforts were made in key support areas such as employment assistance, industrial development, and community governance. A total of 3.359 million rural workers were employed outside their hometowns, while 824,000 people received vocational skills training.

During the year, Xinjiang established three new national-level advantageous and distinctive industrial clusters, three modern agricultural industrial parks, and nine strong agricultural counties. Access to piped drinking water in rural areas rose to 99.4 percent, significantly improving living conditions.

Looking ahead to 2026, the regional government plans to cultivate and strengthen特色 rural industries, address shortcomings in modern rural living standards, and promote the development of livable, business-friendly, and scenic rural communities tailored to local conditions. Efforts will also be intensified to enhance rural governance and advance the level of modern rural civilization.
