International: The 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, widely known as the Summer Davos Forum, officially opened on Tuesday in Dalian, Liaoning Province, northeast China.

More than 1,700 distinguished representatives from the fields of politics, business, academia, and media, representing over 90 countries and regions, have gathered in Dalian to explore new pathways for global economic recovery and high-quality sustainable development.

This year`s forum is being held under the theme “Entrepreneurship for a New Era” and places a strong emphasis on innovation at scale. During the three-day event, participants will focus on cutting-edge sectors including artificial intelligence, new energy, biomedicine, and quantum technology. The discussions are expected to help shape a new framework for international cooperation in science and technological innovation.

Several key flagship reports are scheduled to be released during the forum, including the Energy Transition Index and the annual list of the Top 10 Emerging Technologies.

The Summer Davos Forum is one of the World Economic Forum’s flagship annual events. Since its launch in 2007, the meeting has alternated between the Chinese cities of Tianjin and Dalian. This year marks the ninth time that Dalian has hosted the prestigious global gathering.
