International: September 1: On Tuesday morning, Kyrgyzstan time, Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended a joint event for the wives of leaders participating in the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, hosted by Kyrgyz First Lady Sujaparova in Bishkek.

Upon arriving at the Al-Archa State Residence, Sujaparova warmly welcomed Peng Liyuan. Peng, together with the wives of leaders from other countries, viewed an exhibition showcasing Kyrgyzstan’s national culture and posed for photographs. She later attended a cultural performance at the Yenisei Palace.

Peng Liyuan said the event was wonderful and praised the artists for their outstanding skills. She welcomed Kyrgyz artists to perform and participate in cultural exchanges in China, allowing Chinese audiences to experience firsthand the rich and diverse national culture of Kyrgyzstan.
