International, September 22 : Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim attended the opening ceremony of the World Skills Competition held in Shanghai on Tuesday. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the announcement at a regular press conference in Beijing on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said Anwar Ibrahim’s presence reflected the close and friendly relations between China and Malaysia, as well as the effective cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields. China and Malaysia are close neighbors, friends and partners.

He said that over the more than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have made positive progress in cooperation across various fields. At present, both countries are working together to build a high-quality China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

It is worth noting that the 48th World Skills Competition began in Shanghai on September 22 and will continue until September 27. Meanwhile, the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, from September 23 to 27.
