  14-10-2026

Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man have underscored the imperative of further consolidating traditional friendship, mutual trust, and economic cooperation between China and Vietnam. The two leaders held high-level talks in Beijing on October 12.

During the meeting, Premier Li stated that China stands ready to work alongside Vietnam to carry forward traditional friendship, enhance solidarity and mutual trust, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation for the well-being of both peoples.

Li called for deepening people-to-people exchanges as well as collaboration across public health, education, and youth affairs. Such initiatives, he noted, will solidify the social foundation underpinning China-Vietnam friendship.

The Chinese Premier also expressed hope that the legislative bodies of both nations will continue to extend support to pragmatic bilateral cooperation, provide sound legal guarantees, and play a constructive role in fostering closer ties between their peoples.

In the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man lauded China’s recent achievements in economic and social development.

Tran emphasized that Vietnam considers developing relations with China a top priority and a strategic choice in its foreign policy. He reaffirmed that Vietnam steadfastly adheres to the one-China principle and remains committed to maintaining close, multi-tiered communication with China in alignment with the vital consensus reached by the top leadership of both nations.
