(BSS) - Four people were killed in a head-on collision between an Asian University bus and an auto-rickshaw in the Diabari area of Mirpur, Dhaka, this morning.

The deceased include two men and two women. No injuries were reported.

The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred at around 7:38am in Nawaberbag, Diabari, along the Mirpur embankment road under Shah Ali Police Station.

Fire Service and Civil Defence media officer Talha bin Zasim informed the media of the incident through a short message.

Following the incident, one unit from Kallyanpur Fire Station responded to the scene and carried out rescue operations.

The bodies were handed over to Sub-Inspector Ariful Islam of Shah Ali Police.
