A court in Dhaka on Tuesday ordered to send former vice-president of Chhatra League and Dhaka University`s Shamsunnahar Hall unit Chhatra League`s former president Nishita Iqbal Nodi and three others to jail.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah passed the order after the investigation officer of the case against them pleaded to the court to keep the accused in jail after their two-day remand was over.
They were arrested in an anti-terrorism act case filed with the city`s Kalabagan Police Station.
The other three accused were former joint general secretary of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall Al Fatara Kajal, ex-Chhatra League activist from AIUB University Shovon Rahman and former Chhatra League activist from Jahangirnagar University Hasan Imam Shovon. Other accused sent to jail were
Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) arrested them from Bashundhara residential area on December 14.
Police produced them before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate`s Court on December 15 with an appeal of taking them on seven-day remand.
After hearing both the sides, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan placed them on a two-day remand.
