A van passenger was killed after being hit by a truck at Lalpur upazila in Natore on Friday morning.
The dead was identified as Islam Hossain, 50, of Lakshmanbaria village in the upazila.
The accident occurred in the morning near Kachua Bazar under Arbab Union of the upazila.
Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nuruzzaman said a battery-powered auto-van with two passengers was going to Lalpur from Salampur in the morning. On the way, the passengers were thrown out of the van after being hit by a truck on the road next to Kachua Bazar. Islam Hossain died on the spot.
