Online News : A passenger bus lost control and overturned into a ditch on the Jatrabari-Bhanga Expressway in Shibchar, Madaripur, leaving 15 passengers injured. The accident occurred on the Dhaka-bound lane near Munshir Bazar in Kutubpur area at around 8:30 AM on Thursday (January 2).

According to reports, a Golden Line Paribahan bus was traveling from Khulna to Dhaka when it lost control near Munshir Bazar in Shibchar and overturned into a roadside ditch.

Fifteen passengers were injured in the incident. Three of them, critically injured, were rescued and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in serious condition. The others were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Tamal Sarkar, Sub-Inspector of Shibchar Highway Police Station, said, "Upon receiving news of the accident, highway police joined the rescue operation. The passengers narrowly avoided a major disaster."
