Nobel Laureate and Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is set to visit Qatar on April 21 to participate in the Earthna Summit, according to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Officials from the ministry confirmed that Dr. Yunus has accepted an invitation from the organizers to attend the summit as a keynote speaker.
The Earthna Summit will be held in Doha on April 22–23, and Dr. Yunus is expected to return to Dhaka on April 23 following the event.
Preparations for his visit are currently underway by both the Chief Advisor’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Yunus will deliver a speech during the summit, which focuses on climate resilience and sustainability strategies for arid and hot regions.
This year marks the second edition of the Earthna Summit, organized by the Qatar Foundation. The summit brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore solutions for adapting to climate change, especially in countries with dry and extreme environments.
