Norwegian State Minister of International Development, Stein Rønnning Jæger, is arriving in Dhaka today for a two-day visit.
Foreign Ministry officials have stated that the Norwegian State Minister of International Development will arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday (May 20th). During his two-day visit to Bangladesh, he will visit the Rohingya camps in Cox`s Bazar.
During his Dhaka visit, Jæger will meet with the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor`s National Security Advisor and Special Representative for Rohingya Issues and Priority Matters, Khalilur Rahman, Foreign Affairs Advisor, Mo. Touhid Hossain, and Environment, Forest, and Climate and Water Resources Advisor, Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
Regarding the discussions during the Norwegian State Minister`s visit, a ministry official said, "Jæger`s main focus is the Rohingya issue. Along with that, there will be climate and development issues. He will also visit several Norwegian development projects operating in Bangladesh."
The Norwegian State Minister is scheduled to depart Dhaka on Thursday morning (May 22nd).
