Naval police recovered the hanging body of a ship worker from the Deep Sea Dock area of the Karnaphuli River in Chattogram district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sohel, 30, son of Md Chhayed, a resident of Subarnachar upazila in Noakhali district. He was working as a worker on the ship.

According to police, they recovered the body from a ship after being informed. After checking the CCTV footage, it seems to be a suicide.

Confirming the incident, Sadarghat Naval Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Mizanur Rahman said that the body has been sent to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
