Online Report : The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent exams began across the country on Sunday (June 30), except Sylhet division.
A total of 14,50,790 students from eight general Education Boards, Madrasha Board and Technical Board are expected to sit for the exams from 9,463 educational institutions at 2,275 centres across the country, according to authorities.
The examinees alongwith the guardians were facing troubles on the first day of the exam to reach the respective centres amid heavy rain. The government has postponed the Sylhet division exams only till July 8 due to flooding.
The exams started today with the Bangla first.
This year`s exams will adhere to a revised syllabus.
The written exams will conclude on 11 August, followed by practical exams.
Meanwhile, all coaching centres will remain closed for 44 days -- from June 29 (Saturday) to August 44.
