The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has raised the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 2,612 to Tk 1,40,061 per bhori, the highest rise in the country`s history till Saturday (October 19).
Besides, 21-carat gold was hiked by Tk 2,507 to 1,33,704 a bhori (11.664 grams), 18-carat by Tk 2,146 to Tk 1,14,599, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,831 to Tk 94,117 respectively, BAJUS said in a statement today.
The association said it hiked the price following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday (October 20).
