Scoring goals seems effortless for Erling Haaland. Whether at the club or international level, the Norwegian striker remains a constant threat in front of goal. This time, his stunning hat-trick crushed Kazakhstan as Norway claimed a dominant 5-0 victory on Sunday night, securing promotion to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.
Norway topped Group 3 in League B to advance to League A, with four wins and a draw in six matches. In contrast, Kazakhstan ended at the bottom with just one point.
Haaland, who became Norway’s all-time leading scorer last month, continued his impressive form. He netted in the 23rd minute after a rebound, doubled the lead with a header in the 37th, and completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute with a shot from outside the box. Alexander Sørloth and Antonio Nusa also found the net for Norway. This was Haaland’s 25th career hat-trick, including four for Norway. Of his 11 club hat-tricks with Manchester City, five came with RB Salzburg, four with Borussia Dortmund, and one with Molde.
The 24-year-old forward has scored 38 goals in 39 matches for Norway. Leading the current Nations League with seven goals, Haaland has already scored 22 goals across club and international competitions this season, including three hat-tricks.
