A young man was stabbed to death by miscreants in a concert at Government Azizul Haque College in Bogura on Saturday.

The incident took place around 9 pm at the college campus.

The victim Mehedi, 26, son of Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Malgram area of the town, was a Thai glass mechanic.

According to locals, a concert was going on at Azizul Haque College in the evening on the occasion of a reunion program of Philosophy Department. A large crowd gathered in the college area around the concert. In the meantime, the stabbing incident took place there.

Chilimpur Medical Police Outpost TASI Lalon Hossain confirmed it.

He said the youth was taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital with serious injuries where the doctors declared him dead. The body has been kept in the hospital morgue.
