Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman was admitted to a Chennai hospital on Saturday night after experiencing dehydration, doctors confirmed on Sunday.

The musician had just returned from London when he felt unwell and decided to undergo a medical check-up.

Doctors attributed his condition to dehydration, likely caused by fasting during Ramzan. They assured that Rahman is now stable and out of danger.

Popularly known as ARR, Rahman is one of India`s most acclaimed music composers, record producers, and multi-instrumentalists. He has made a significant impact on Tamil and Hindi cinema, as well as international projects.
