Ajay Devgn worries about future of Indian cinema
  9, April, 2025, 10:07:14:PM

Big budget films are now falling on their faces in India. The issue of concern is on the foreheads of actors and producers. Bollywood star Ajay Devgn recently commented based on that thought, saying that the future of cinema is in dark.

Salman Khan`s `Sikander` was released in India on March 30. Despite being a big budget film, it could not see the face of success that way. Not only this, the story of many big budget films is almost the same.

These issues also came up at the trailer launch of eagerly awaited film `Raid 2`.

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn was present at the trailer launch of `Raid 2`.

He said, ``We are all worried about the future of Hindi films. We are now struggling to understand the taste of people. It is not clear what kind of films people will like to watch. This problem has been created since the pandemic.``

Ajay added, ``We do not understand which movies the audience will like to watch and which they will not. This problem is not only in case of Hindi cinema, it is a problem of the entire film industry. We are trying to change ourselves and try to adapt to all situations. We are trying to find out where the problems are.``

If the audience is not coming to watch the movie, is it because of high price of the ticket? To this question asked at the event, Ajay said, ``I do not think the ticket price has any effect on this. The audience who are coming to watch the movie, they are buying the ticket in same price. In fact, the audience is making a very thoughtful decision about which movie they will watch and which one they will not watch.``

Ajay also said, “The audience now wants good content. If people like the trailer or teaser of a movie, if people like the songs of a movie, then audience will definitely come to watch that movie. Whether a movie will run or not depends a lot on the trailer. If the trailer is impressive, then people will definitely watch the movie.``

Regarding this, `Raid 2` is coming to the big screen 7 years after the release of `Raid`.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, it also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and others.
