Online Report : Two workers were killed by lightning strike while working in a paddy field at Shibpasha village of Ajmiriganj upazila in Habiganj on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Manirul Islam 22 and Kapil uddin, 45, both residents of the same upazila in the district.

Confirming the matter, Ajmiriganj Police Station officer-in-charge Maidul Hasan said that a streak of thunderbolt struck the two workers amid rains while they were working at a paddy field, leaving them dead on the spot.

Being informed, a team police recovered the bodies.

The legal process was underway in this connection, the OC added.
