Heavy Rains and Floods Devastate Several Countries, Pakistan Death Toll Hits 104
  13, July, 2025, 11:55:33:AM

Heavy rains and floods have wreaked havoc across several countries in Europe and Asia. In Pakistan, another six people died in floods in a single day, bringing the death toll in the country to 104.

Train services have been suspended in China`s Fujian province due to record rainfall. Meanwhile, agriculture and communication systems in Texas, USA, have been severely disrupted by the state`s worst flood in history.

On Saturday, July 12, torrential rainfall inundated multiple areas in Spain`s northeastern Zaragoza province. The army`s emergency disaster response unit was deployed as roads and underpasses became waterlogged.

The country`s meteorological agency reported that at least eight provinces, including Catalonia and Castellon in Valencia, are at risk of flooding.

Local train services in Catalonia were suspended for several hours, and the government issued warnings to the public via mobile messages.

On the same day, China`s southern Fujian province experienced record rainfall. Xiamen recorded 195 millimeters of rain, the highest in six decades.

Chinese media reported that the fire service rescued people trapped in waist-deep water. Several train services were halted.

In Pakistan, the death toll from ongoing monsoon rains and floods continues to climb. The provinces of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan have been the most affected.

Meanwhile, severe floods in the US state of Texas, described as the worst in a century, have claimed many lives, with numerous people still missing.

Texas farmers have suffered extensive damage. Local authorities reported that many agricultural tractors were swept away by rivers, and a large number of livestock perished in the floods.

The National Weather Service announced that a flood warning for Texas`s Hill Country will remain in effect until Sunday evening, July 13.
