Online Report : Government primary school teachers have started their pre-announced mass rally at the capital`s Central Shaheed Minar for three demands, including upgrading assistant teachers to grade 11 on the national pay scale.

The rally began at about 10AM on Saturday where a large number of teachers from across the country joined.

The teachers’ three-point demand includes placing assistant teachers in grade 11 at the entry level, 100% promotion opportunities for all teachers and resolving complications related to higher-grade eligibility after 10 and 16 years of service.
