In the 2025 HSC and equivalent examinations, all students from 202 educational institutions across the country have failed. On the other hand, 345 institutions have achieved a 100 percent pass rate.
The information was revealed on Thursday at a press conference held at the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board auditorium. The event was led by Professor Dr. Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Board.
According to him, in 2024, the number of institutions with a 100 percent fail rate was 65. This year, that number has jumped to 202.
In the 2025 HSC and equivalent examinations under nine general education boards, as well as the madrasah and technical education boards, the average pass rate is 58.83 percent. A total of 69,097 students secured GPA-5.
